A HOLY EXISTENCE WHERE PEACE REIGNS, AND A FORTRESS OF DIVINE PROTECTION SURROUNDS ALL THAT DWELL THERE BY FAITH. IT IS A SHELTER, A REFUGE, THE VERY SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY, HIDDEN FROM THE WORLD, WHERE ONLY THOSE SET APART BY FAITH MAY ENTER AND FIND REST IN GOD'S HOLINESS.
PSALMS 91:1-16 (NIV)
WHOEVER DWELLS IN THE SHELTER OF THE MOST HIGH WILL REST IN THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY. I WILL SAY OF THE LORD, "HE IS MY REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS, MY GOD, IN WHOM I TRUST." SURELY HE WILL SAVE YOU FROM THE FOWLER’S SNARE AND FROM THE DEADLY PESTILENCE. HE WILL COVER YOU WITH HIS FEATHERS, AND UNDER HIS WINGS YOU WILL FIND REFUGE; HIS FAITHFULNESS WILL BE YOUR SHIELD AND RAMPART. I am no stranger to the storms of life. The depths of pain and sorrow are all too familiar for me. I have known crushing defeat and despair so dark it nearly ended me. Perhaps you have too. Perhaps you’ve given up trying. There is no shame in that, I gave up as well. My burdens were simply too heavy for me to carry on my own. But to my amazement, I came to understand that was God’s plan all along! You see without the trials, I would never have cried out for His strength. And until I reached the end of myself, and became still, He could not fill me with His Divine Power.
I came to see that trials are not punishments, but rather opportunities to exercise the Authority God desires to place in our hands. What Authority? The Authority to command the storms of life to be still! To maintain our peace. The storms that once threatened to destroy me, made me stronger in the knowledge of God. Like an athlete pushing beyond their limits to build endurance, I discovered that each challenge was training me to develop unshakable faith. And this was not a comfortable process. No discipline is. But there was a purpose for my pain; and it made me stronger. For Faith rarely grows in comfort; it’s almost always forged in tension, in the heat of need, loss, or uncertainty. If life were always smooth, would anyone even learn to lean on God?
There is a Shelter where no fear, no doubt, no enemy can touch you. It’s real. But only Faith and Holiness can unlock it. They must be applied together. My God is not a myth, He answers prayer, He moves in Glorious Power, and He calls each of us to enter His Rest. A place where doubt no longer holds us back. ”Do You Know Your God?" is a book that will challenge every doubt, ignite your faith, and lead you into a life fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit.
Now, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Roger, and my storied life begins with the heartfelt prayer of a woman who longed for a child she could not bear. She prayed in faith for a son to dedicate to God, and I am the answer to that prayer. Yet I resisted my calling, running from the destiny God laid out for me. Wondering why I was bound to a path I did not choose? Still, He never let me go. Through grief, disappointments, rebellion, and ungratefulness, His Grace was sufficient. By His love. patience, and great mercy, God revealed His Heart to me until I finally surrendered. And I discovered that I never had to carry my burdens; He wanted to carry them for me. In fact He carried me too.
Now I know this truth: no obstacle can stand against a soul surrendered to God's Holiness in the Shelter of Faith. The Shelter of The Most High. You don’t have to live in defeat. The storms you face are the very place where God is waiting to reveal His Salvation and Almighty Power.
THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
“For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:29 NIV
When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us. But for many, that’s where the journey stops, because they have yet to grasp the reality of the True Power living within them. The Holy Spirit is not just a helper; He is God Himself, the very fullness and essence of God! That means the same Power that spoke the universe into existence can reside in you. But how do you connect with this Power and let it transform your life? Well first, you must believe that He lives within you; just as His Word says. Second, you must place your faith in Him. And third, you must grow in your understanding of God’s good and perfect will for your life. This happens when you feed continually on the Word of God until the Blessed message of Scripture unites with your faith, empowering you to stand firmly on His Promises.
But this walk requires holiness. To live in the fullness of the Spirit, you must separate yourself from the ways of the world. For now you are a vessel of God, and your life must reflect and align with your confession of faith in Him.
When this takes place, your awareness of the Holy Spirit's presence grows, and His Power reshapes your existence! You will begin to operate in faith—no longer driven by human instinct, but by Divine confidence. Doubt is natural to us, it chains our souls to fear, disappointment, and unbelief. Faith, however, breaks those chains and opens the way to live in the fullness of God’s promises. This is how we overcome in a world filled with obstacles designed to separate us from our God given destiny to prosper. And do you know the most wonderful thing? You will have peace even in the darkest hours of life, an incredible Peace beyond description.
